Project overview
Elon is a free, community-driven language learning platform integrated with AI. Unlike traditional apps that rely on endless repetitive exercises, Elon focuses on smart memorization mechanics and user-generated courses. The client needed a complete UX/UI design for both desktop and mobile platforms. Our main task was to create a modern, scalable interface and a robust design system ready for immediate developer handoff.

The client needed a complete UX/UI design for both desktop and mobile platforms. Our main task was to create a modern, scalable interface and a robust design system ready for immediate developer handoff.
Challenges
Balancing Gamification: The client wanted to keep users engaged with streaks and leaderboards without making the app feel like a childish game.
AI Integration: We had to naturally embed an AI chatbot into the learning process so users could ask for grammar explanations without leaving the exercise screen.
Flexible Architecture: The platform allows the community to create custom courses. The UI needed to adapt seamlessly to different languages, alphabets, and varying amounts of content.
Handoff Complexity: Providing a pixel-perfect design system with fully mapped variables for both light and dark themes to ensure developers could build the app without constant design supervision.
What Was Done:
Designed a clean cross-platform interface optimized for both desktop web and mobile browsers.
Developed a specialized spaced repetition UI to help users track due reviews and build long-term memory.
Integrated contextual AI chat features directly into the translation and exercise flows.
Built a comprehensive UI Kit including custom language keyboards, progress trackers, and support ticket interfaces.
